Job Summary: Franklin County Community Meals Program (FCCMP) is seeking a part time administrative and volunteer coordinator to support the administrative functions of FCCMP, including administrative support for the Executive Director and the programs of FCCMP.

Compensation: This is a part time, hourly position with a pay rate of $18/hour for 90-days on a rolling application basis

Franklin County Community Meals Program (FCCMP) is a 501c3 non-profit whose mission is to work in partnership with the community to alleviate hunger. FCCMP programs include 4 free community meal sites in Greenfield, Turners Falls, Orange, and Northfield, the Orange Food Pantry, and monthly Mobile Food Bank in Turners Falls. FCCMP’s vision is to foster an empowered community who work together to address food insecurity, while building systems and infrastructure to holistically address hunger.  FCCMP values the inherent dignity and worth of each person, while building a community that is inclusive, formed in mutual respect and motivated by the power of collaboration. By uplifting and strengthening one another, we endeavor to dismantle barriers to food resources and build food security for all.

Administrative Support Responsibilities

  • Organize files for year-end change over and general office maintenance
  • Event support preparation; including, but not limited to, donor and volunteer solicitation
  • Plan year organizational calendar under the supervision of the ED
  • Any duties as assigned

Program Support Responsibilities

  • Assist Meal Site Coordinators in event and meal preparation, serving, coordination, resource development and inventories
  • Coordinate the transportation of food goods and donations from donors to program sites and between program sites with ED
  • Facilitate the purchasing of food not able to be procured from the FoodBank

Community Relations Responsibilities

  • Email, text, and phone correspondence with:
    • Volunteers
    • Partnering Agencies such as Rachel’s Table, United Way, etc
    • Food Donors
    • Meal Sponsors

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree, 6 month office experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in the Google Suite
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds
