It’s here! Today is #GivingTuesday, the international day of giving. A day when you can make a difference for those who struggle with food insecurity and help us respond to the increased need we are seeing across all of our programming. With your help, we will be able to continue to do what we do best: getting food to those in need.
At our meal sites, patrons tell us that having these hot meals available helps them to have money to pay the bills. One gentleman said that he comes to get food and be treated kindly. “I don’t get much of that these days”, he explained. A regular patron to our site told us this is the only hot meal she gets all week.
Your donation is not just monetary, but creates warmth in people’s bellies, lifts the spirits of those who are struggling to make ends meet, and provides comfort and security when people don’t know where else to turn. We are humbled to be able to stand here as a point of connection between you and your neighbors.
