5 Star Volunteers: Cathy

This is Cathy, one of our 5 Star volunteers.  Cathy has been volunteering with us on and off since 2006 and steadily since 2018. 

When she began volunteering she was moved by the sight of so many people sitting and sharing a meal in community with each other.  What keeps Cathy coming back is the look of relief in someone’s eyes, especially when it’s a child, as they receive their meal.  Our Lady of Peace in Turners Falls partners with FCCMP to host our weekly meal on Mondays.

You can find Cathy happily organizing the bag of groceries that are distributed once a month to families in addition to the meals.
